Saturday was the last meeting before the trip to Thailand. I am excited, nervous, and can’t wait to meet the people. I have heard stories from people who have been before and it makes me want to dive in.
We received our meds, toothbrushes, and glasses we are taking. We were blessed beyond words by people in the church who bought these supplies and I am so grateful for their generosity. I have one suitcase packed and ready to go! It’s hard to believe and when I weighed it I am just under the weight limit at 48lbs.
I can’t wait to see what it is like on the other side of the world. I have never been outside of the U.S. and I am excited to experience another culture.
Do you ever wonder if this is the kind of excitement Paul experienced before leaving on one of his missionary journeys? I am sure he never took as much stuff as we are taking, but I can’t imagine only taking the clothes on my back and nothing else. Paul took different companions during his 3 journeys. We are a team of 8 for this trip. Please keep us in your prayers as we prepare to go over the next 2 weeks and as we are there working. This is an awesome group of people to be traveling around the world with. They are dedicated to helping others, have caring spirits about them, and are willing to do whatever it takes!
At one of the other meetings we had this handed out and I have placed it on the inside of my journal I am taking. I believe it can be used not just in a mission trip but also in everyday life. Some are more applicable than others if used in a work setting, with a spouse, etc…
I can’t wait to share my trip with you all until then….
